Approval of Previous Minutes

  • Minutes from March 22, 2025 were approved.
  • Motion made by Jessica, seconded by Phoenix.
  • Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report

  • Total at last meeting: $18,899.50
  • Donations: $100.00
  • Chapter dues: $10.00
  • Other income: $2,306.00 (funds from closed bank account)
  • Current balance: $21,315.50
  • Chapter checks have been ordered and will cost approximately $50–60. Final amount will be reported at the next meeting.

Board Report

  • The Executive Director requested updated membership lists from each chapter for the new system.
  • Several grants have been applied for and responses are pending.
  • The organization received the Gold Seal of Transparency, confirming nonprofit credibility and visibility on the website.
  • SOP Update:
    • Sixteen applications have been received.
    • All staff positions are filled except for a driver and a nurse.
    • Ideas were shared for a family weekend, open house, and advanced training sessions.
  • The board approved allowing reasonable payment to board members for professional services.
  • OPW: Interest in the program was discussed.
  • Kristi announced she is stepping down as 3rd District Representative for personal reasons. Interested members should contact leadership to fill the remainder of the term.

Old Business

  • SOP Fundraising Update:
    • New equipment is needed for the SOP.
    • The fundraising goal is $5,000–$6,000.
    • Corporate matching funds were discussed as a possible option.
    • $2,300 from the old checking account was approved for donation to SOP.
  • Convention Update:
    • Location: Bozeman
    • Dates: September 12–14
    • Hotel: Comfort Inn
    • Room cost: $165 per night
    • Registration: $50
    • Volunteer and donation opportunities were discussed.
    • Topic tabled.
  • May 3 Fundraiser:
    • All-day event at the Times Square building.
    • Car show runs from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM.
    • Chapter table will be staffed from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.
    • Volunteers, flyers, and supplies are needed.
    • Items may be dropped off in advance.
    • Scheduling reminders and table assignments will be coordinated.

New Business

  • May Meeting:
    • Meeting will be held at Taco Treat Amigo Lounge.
    • The chapter will cover the cost.
    • Each member may bring one guest.
    • Time to be determined based on venue availability.
  • June Meeting:
    • Meeting will take place during SOP.
    • Held in the evening.
    • Students will be invited.
  • SOP Student Meals:
    • Proposal to sponsor lunch or dinner every other weekend.
    • Options discussed included taco bar and pizza night.
    • A form letter will be created for potential donors.
