Rachel Ramos is a Blindness Products Specialist and co-host of HumanWare’s See Things Differently podcast, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience as a blind user of assistive technology. Passionate about innovation and empowerment, she collaborates directly with development teams to refine emerging technologies—from dynamic braille platforms to AI-driven wearable devices—while advocating for accessible solutions that enhance mobility, daily independence, and confidence for individuals who are blind or low vision.

Kevin Hughes is a Regional Sales Manager and dedicated representative for HumanWare, where he specializes in connecting individuals, educators, and organizations with cutting-edge assistive technology. With extensive experience across HumanWare’s full suite of solutions—including electronic video magnifiers, braille displays, and digital audio readers—Kevin works closely with the blind and low-vision community to deliver tailored tools that foster personal independence, educational access, and workplace inclusion.

In this session attendees will experience the functionality and efficiency of the BrailleNote Evolve which is a computer running Windows 11 Pro with a 32 cell braille display. Attendees will see the BrailleNote Evolve in action. Rachel will demonstrate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Math and many other necessary programs one would use with a productivity and educational tool.
